Soldering Solutions Since 1909 Johnson's J-35 is an aggressive blend of acids and phosphates that offers a good solution for the soldering or tinning of nickel, electroless nickel and nickel plate, as well as several more difficult-to-solder metals. This flux works with all common solders including lead-free, silver bearing and even high-temperature alloys containing lead.

J-35 is water soluble so its residues are not difficult to remove unless overheated; nonetheless it is always a good idea to wash them off the work piece immediately after soldering.
